At CCPrep, our SAT & ACT Classes are taught in small groups of 3-6 students. This enable our teachers to provide personal attention to the needs of each student – something that other programs cannot do in their classes of 20-30 students.
We use a pragmatic approach, this includes assigning between 30-60 minutes of homework between classes – but then actually checking the homework and working through it as a class. We feel that simply doing homework isn’t where the material is learned – but rather working through the missed questions as a group in order to understand how the tricks and techniques learned through the class should apply to sample questions.
Finally our initial practice test is more than just a scoring benchmark. Specific questions from it will be used during the course and the instructor will have a list of each student’s answers in order to address the weakness of each student in the class to ensure progress.
The SAT Class includes 8 total sessions (two practice tests, five 90 minute classes and a teachback the night before the SAT). For those who would like to also try the ACT (because some students score better on the SAT and others on the ACT) we offer an additional 3 sessions (a 2 hour class, practice test and teachback) on the material found on the ACT. The cost for the SAT is only $250. The additional ACT portion is only $75 more.
After the course is completed, for those who are looking for additional individual tutoring we offer a few options.
(1) We do provide one-on-one tutoring with one of our professional SAT/ACT Tutors for $50/hr.
(2) We know offer an SAT and ACT retesting course for those who are retaking the exam. For information on the summer retesting course please view it here.
